The 2025 Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival (KCRQF) got under way June 11, 2025 at the Overland Park Convention Center, Overland Park, KS. The first day was dedicated to classes the entire day. June 12,13, and 14 the quilt show began. The festival was organized by 17 local and area quilt guilds around Kansas City. This year several members of our guild (Piece Corps Quilters Guild) decided to volunteer their time and expertise. The following were the committee members, Debbie Embrey, Leann Kerns, Linda Nickell, Lynne Miller, Trish Izer, President Lori Mathews and Program Committee Chair Raylene Mason. A big thank you for all their hard work that made this happen! Thank you to all of the guild member volunteers who helped at the Youth Experience working with the younger sewists who attended the show. Our Piece Corps Quilters Guild members helped Lorelai, the 16 year old owner and artist of “Pigs in a Blanket Quilting” teach girls how to sew their own bags.
